About

I am Dion Lopez, both an Artist and a Producer for the past 15+ years.

I decided to become a DJ first of all because I love music and saw how much music means to people and to the world.

What inspired me was artists like Michael Jackson, whose music I grew up with and still to this day, his music inspires people.

The other artists that inspired and moved me with their music are Ben E.King, Stevie Wonder, Beethoven, Nat King Cole and of course Bob Marley. The artists I like to listen to these days vary, ranging from Beyoncé, Usher, Tinie Tempah, Naz, Will Smith, The Script, The Killers to Kings of Leon and much more.

I like to hear new music from unheard artists and from the most popular.

After been adopted from Belize and was being brought to the UK, I learned to play the piano at the age of 10.

When I turned 16, I started to write my own music and experiment with music software. I worked with FL Studio (which was called "Fruity Loops") and used the software to enable me to gain a lot of knowledge on producing music. I then went on to do charity work with the S.S.A.F.A and walked across the Namibian desert and raised £2,400.

On the back of that trip, I received a message: "I can see you doing great things in your future to come”. Later on, more people would say the same thing.

Following this, I went on to land a part in Robson Green ITV "Wire In The Blood", which sent me on a course to do TV ops, while I continued to do my music. This, in turn, gave me an opportunity to showcase one of my songs at the O2 Arena in London 2007 for its opening, where I saw great artists such as Tom Jones, The Kaiser Chiefs, and Basement Jaxx perform.

Another highlight of mine was playing in Germany in Bavaria October-fest. I have released four EPs and two albums on iTunes etc with a 3rd album on the way.

When times get hard, my favorite quotes to pick me up include:

"A warrior never gives up on what he does, he finds the love in what he does", taken from the movie "Peaceful Warrior".

Another one is Walt Disney Meet the Robinsons "Keep Moving Forward". One from my friend "Love with your heart and not with your eyes".

One of mine: "Listen with your heart and not with your mind"
